...but he reveals, in this excerpt from his diary posted by Maggie, just what is wrong with these people...while also showing where his daughter got this sort of national myopia....in the excerpt of her excerpt below, her father says assyrians must not blast each other...and then proceeds to blast those people who blast people, in other words; those who disagree with him...he commits the exact same fault he condemns in others..and THAT is assyrian nationalism in a nutshell....

"A true nationalist doesn’t say, “I’m a nationalist, and the others are traitors of our nation.” Beloved reader, whenever you see someone standing on the beam and praising himself for being a nationalist and putting others down, and calling other traitors, he is a liar, a betrayer, and traitor of his nation. Such individuals must be stopped and made aware that’s there’s no more time left for lying."

..."he is a liar, a betrayer, and a TRAITOR (emphasis mine)". How can Maggie NOT see that her father is committing the very error or "treason" that he is warning against? The people he condemns for calling others traitors, he winds up calling TRAITORS!!!
