...this is interesting,

" The influential works written in the 1980s by the American professor John Joseph gloss over Seyfo, and can therefore be used by those who stop genocide recognition. Almost everything we now know about the details has come in the last 10 years."

...funny isn't it...that this fellow slams one of our own, which would ordinarily make us furious and yet because Gaunt strokes us the way we like, we too dismiss Joseph, whom Gaunt dismisses and almost accuses of working for the other side...in other words this Brit calls him a traitor and we AGREE, cause that's what we think of Joseph too. Is it the case now that one professor's Emeritus is more better than another professor's?

Joseph doesn't "gloss over" seyfo...he puts it in perspective. He points out the differences between a true genocide, such as only Christians have perpetrated in the modern era, and the deaths of Christians in Turkey, mostly due to starvation and disease and then murder and massacre, but NOT genocide...Joseph also details the things Christians in Turkey did to merit the wrath of the Turkish government which so far I don't see Gaunt mentioning.

One more thing, it would be good to know who published these works of Gaunt's..let's remember that you don't get doctorate degrees, or any degrees, in "seyfo"...this is another hobby for these guys looking for an area they can be known for.

Gaunt himself admits that he knew nothing about seyfo, never studied it at university, or assyrians for that matter until "some students" apparently Assyrian ones, approached him after a lecture and "told him about it"...in other words, he took their word for it that they were even assyrians to begin with. That's one sloppy professor! The whole point is to research, to investigate and to corroborate....you don't just take people's word for it, neither from their diaries or recollections...how many assyrians are willing to admit that the US committed genocide against the people of Iraq, children especially? Let them come forward with the same eagerness to slam Christian nations, whose crimes are STILL ongoing, and we'll believe in their honesty and tears where a Muslim nation stands accused for things done over 80 years ago....these people reveal their true intentions every time, every time.
