...just take out "same-sex marriage" or any reference to Gay, and substitute "Black" and African-American", and you'll see that this has everything to do with civil rights and NOTHING to do with sex.

Although Priebus said he supports equal rights for gay Americans, including fair treatment in the workplace and hospital visitations, he pushed back against the suggestion that same-sex marriage falls in the same "civil rights" category.

...Although Priebus said he supports equal rights for Black Americans, including fair treatment in the workplace and hospital visitations, he pushed back against the suggestion that equal voting rights falls in the same 'civil rights' category.

"I don't think it's a matter of civil rights. I think it's just a matter of whether or not we're going to adhere to something that's been historical and religious and legal in this country for many, many years," Priebus said. "I mean, marriage has to have a definition, and we just happen to believe it's between a man and woman."

..."I don't think it's a matter of civil rights. I think it's just a matter of whether or not we're going to adhere to something that's been historical and religious and legal in this country (slavery, Jim Crow etc.)for many, many years." Priebus said. "I mean, equal citizen's rights, has to have a definition, and we just happen to believe it's between white people and white people."

He also sought to contrast Jim Crow laws, which enforced segregation, with bans on same-sex marriage, a comparison some have made following the president's announcement Wednesday that he now supports such unions.

"I think there's a big difference between people that have been murdered and everything else that has come with Jim Crow, than marriage between a man and man and a woman and a woman," he said.

....right. No Black man or woman has EVER been lynched or murdered or beaten in America for demanding equal rights, or civil rights....never!

...Who would have thought that all of America would be beholden to the Gay community to uphold the Constitution...as we were to African Americans and women? Turns out it's white men who despise the Constitution and our democratic values because the motto that ALL are created equal rankles in their little white minds.

...those "limp wrists" are striking such a blow for freedom!!!
