The interesting thing is when the media condemns immigrants like southern Italians who basically picked up on and applied the same confidence game the government uses on the citizenry, or the gangster heavy-handedness it imposes on smaller and weaker nations. In "The Godfather part II", Michael basically sums it up when he tells the Nevada senator "we're both part of the same hypocrisy".
